Joyous Compassion
Shin (Ss)
Shin (Ss)

Compassion is a soulful understanding of what oneself or another is experiencing. This heartfelt presence takes the form of a powerful caring strength that makes it possible to see the experience as an opportunity of learning how to love oneself or another. Through the frequency of love, change happens, including altering DNA patternings. Compassion is the balancing power of our personal, global and universal life.

The Letter Shin

The Hebrew Letter Shin is the spirit of compassion, dormant or active within us. Its archetypal form consists of a base from which three columns extend vertically. The right and left columns represent opposites or polarities, such as light, darkness; joy, sadness; hope, despair; male, female. The center column stands for connection. Through the power of compassion we can blend opposites and give birth to a new quality. Compassion empowers us to be in the flow of blessings, joy, wholeness and prosperity. This divine flow is symbolized by the graphic form of the English letter 'Ss'. It takes the shape of a swan, a symbol representing transformation. The flame of compassion is a transforming fire.

Nourishment, Learning and Sharing

The numberical value of the letter Shin is 300, the multiple of the number three and thirty. The letter 'Cc', Gimel, associated with the number three, relates to nourishment. With the letter 'Cc' we creatively decide how we are going to nourish others that they may remember their wholeness. When we become the spirit of the Lamed, 'Ll', we take the responsibility to be an open vessel to receive values, ideas and insights beyond our comfortable range of vision. We share with others what we have learned along with the light of wisdom and knowledge imprinted within our hearts. The numerical value of the Lamed is 30 which relates it to the creative process of the number three. What has been creatively conceived by the Gimel is now extended into the practical world by the Lamed. When we are the spirit of the Shin, we have the power of universal influence. Our learnings and teachings are impacting the cosmic world simultaneously, as they are shared in our earth learning environments. All that we do to holistically nourish our ways of thinking, feeling and doing have universal ramifications. When we are of this mind-heart spirit, we are balancing lights of the earth and the multi-worlds of creation.

The Illuminating Star
"Those who are wise will shine as brightly as the expanse of the heavens, and those who have instructed many in uprightness as bright as stars for all eternity."

The spirit of this era is pictorially symbolized by the Egyptian Arcane. When we become the compassion of the Shin, we are the angelic figure playing our unique melody on the harp of creation. Our body, mind, soul and spirit are luminous in their unified wholeness. We have closed the door to illness, aging, poverty and sadness. Our spiritual crown is a reflection of our mental brilliance and clarity, emotional gentleness, spiritual vastness and molecular lighter body. We have taken charge of our thought world, our emotional responses, our subconscious desires and the health of our physical body. We are now in harmony with the four creatures associated with each element, and are empowered through this relatedness. We soar spiritually as the Eagle (water), bear the strength of the Taurus bull (earth), have the mind of an angelic being (air) and the heart of compassion, the lion (fire). We earned our spiritual crown by being present to the holy Spirit, symbolized by the dove in the center of the crown above the Arcane figure. We acknowledge this holy Presence as the love that prompts us to be compassionate as we attend to the care of our soul, and those who come into our sphere of learning the ways of the heart. We have chosen to become a luminous Star.

"Those who are wise will shine as brightly as the expanse of the heavens, and those who have instructed many in uprightness as bright as stars for all eternity."
